THE BEST BROADCASTED TOURNAMENTS

The number of poker players has not stopped growing in the last years and the media become aware of this trend many years ago. That is why they started to broadcast the big poker competitions, but that was not all, as they also started to create their own poker programs where elite players took part in tournaments in front of the TV cameras.
One of the first programs of this kind was Late Night Poker, broadcasted by Channel 4 back in 1999. At the beginning no one could have guessed how popular this program would become. But the fact that they introduced a lot of cameras in the show that let the audience see the cards of each player soon attracted a lot of attention and of course many people started to follow the program. Moreover it resulted a great way for poker fans to improve their strategy too.
After the success of this program, many others started to appear, as for instance Poker Million, also broadcasted in the UK, started in the year 2.000. More recent is the program High Stakes Poker created and broadcasted in America since 2006, and that has become the most popular poker TV show, mainly due to the amount of poker start that attracts each season.
So, it seems that poker fans can be happier than ever, as they not only can watch a lot of poker programs on the TV, they can also play at any time they want thanks to the development of the online poker rooms.
